This product delivers....

Pros:
Safe. Lightweight. Sturdy. Easy Storage. Comfortable .
Cons:
None.
Best Uses:
Stage 4 cancer patient.
Describe Yourself:
Caregiver. Mother of patient.

This Comfortpan Bed pan does everything it claims and more. The extra width makes it comfortable to use with less stress to the skin than regular bed pans. Its low profile makes it easy to get on and off for patients who have difficulty helping. I could not find anything not to like about this bed pan. It is well worth the money. I give Allegro five stars for service and quality.

A blessing in disguise Verified Purchaser

Pros:
Safe. Lightweight. Sturdy. Easy Storage.
Best Uses:
Elderly.
Describe Yourself:
Caregiver.

Used for my 84yr old aunt who is paralyzed on the left. With the width it covers more of the buttucks area that keeps from having leakage that she had fron the regular bedpan.. Everthing about this product is grat. Nothing bad I can say about it. I am reaaly glad I was able to find it. No one I show it to have ever seen on like it. I have shown it to all her home heath care nurses. Thanks for offering such a great product.

Did not perform as expected

Pros:
Sturdy. Lightweight. Safe.
Cons:
too shallow. Over-priced.
Best Uses:
Elderly. bedbound.
Describe Yourself:
Caregiver. Daughter. Nurse.

This item in comparrison to standard fracture pans, is I feel, way over-priced. Though it was more comfortable for my mother. She was unable to defacte in it. Her butt would be in the shallow pan and would allow only a very small amount of feces to pass. I would have to take her off the pan and allow her to mess in the bed. All this bedpan was good for is creating something else to clean up.

Does its job very comfortable Verified Purchaser

Pros:
Safe. Lightweight. Sturdy. Easy Storage. ease of use. easy to clean.
Best Uses:
Elderly. disabled. bed ridden . good for any weight.
Describe Yourself:
Caregiver.

my mother is around 250lbs. but the current nursing homes bed pans were very uncomfortable and hurt her and her back she always felt like she was going to fall off it and always felt like she was going on the bed so i bought this one for her it lays flat so her bottom end doesnt feel pinched its comfortable and she can take her time just because it says its for someone 1200lbs. doesnt mean you have to be that large the bed pan itself isnt huge but is a little bigger than a normal bed pan the nurses have told me its even easier to clean and fits in her bottom draw of her dresser with no problem also you may want to notice if they are any promotional codes they offer here it save on my purchase i do highly recommend this product

Answer:
This works like any other bedpan. Place under the patient and let them use the bathroom. It is wider then a normal one and has a plastic part that the top of the buttock can rest on to allow them to feel more secure while using it, thus being more comfortable to use.
