Great Product Verified Purchaser

Pros:
Good Value. Easy To Use. Effective.
Best Uses:
Daily Use. Men.
Describe Yourself:
Quality Oriented.

A member of the family had to have a total hip-replacement, and needed something secure and stable to use in the bathroom. This product fits the bill to a T. With the 4 legs going all the way to the floor, and the hand rails at the right level, it is the perfect product.

Extra Narrow is more like it Verified Reviewer

Pros:
Lightweight. Sturdy.
Best Uses:
Following Surgery.
Describe Yourself:
Average Health.

This was advertised as "extra Wide" but (after hip replacement surgery) I found it to be essentially unusable. I am a 250 lb male-- it is proffered as a 350 # capacity (or even 600# with metal legs); yet was so narrow I found it to be unusable post surgery upon returning home. I actually had to squeeze myself into it (between the legs), and the pressure against the surgical site was horrible; as well, it really "squeezed" me for the purpose I was using it for. Would hate to see a 300# plus person try to use this thing! Left it on the floor off to one side to use one handle as a boost point for getting up-- about all it is good for.

It's a good product -- just keep a bottle of Clorox Cleanup on the back of toilet.

We purchased the unit with Alum legs and had some problems securing it to the toilet. After contacting the company, they sent, at no charge, an attachment that fastened to the toilet seat bolts. The seat is secure and safe for elderly father to use with easy.

Elevated Toilet Seat with arm rests Verified Purchaser

Pros:
comfortable. Easy to rise.
Cons:
Slides around in bowl. Add'l piece doesn't help. Doesn't fit elongated.
Best Uses:
Elderly.
Describe Yourself:
Caregiver.

The piece included to use for elongated bowls does nothing to keep the seat from slipping back & forth or sideways. I expected it to secure the seat. I would try to find one that fits securely. I would recommend it for a round bowl only.

Not wide enough... Verified Purchaser

Cons:
Not usable.
Describe Yourself:
Caregiver.

My brother is unsteady on his feet and needs assistance rising from a sitting position. The arm rests proved to be helpful, but he had to squeeze himself between them and found the chair too uncomfortable to use. He weighs about 275 pounds so he was under the maximum 350 pound limit. I think it would have been a great product had it been wider but as it is, it is certainly not made for a large person.

Does not fit elongated toilet. Verified Reviewer

Cons:
Unsafe.

The alum leg unit does not fit elongated toilet securely with the flat bar "lok-in-el" bracket. Will be contacting Maddak to see if fix is available.
