Best Uses:

Describe Yourself:

This is so useful when not feeling well or hurting and if someone isn't available or physically able to help to transfer. I do think that it would be a little better if it were shellaced to slide easily.

We use the transfer board to get from a wheel chair to recliner chair, bed, shower seat, commode and back to the wheel chair. My husband is a double amputee and it's a little difficult getting around without legs. This board has made our lives a lot easier. Thank YOU!

Answer:
I have slide boards in different places where I use them most - in van, by my bed, then shorter ones by my standing frame and where I transfer from different chairs - my first clue that I need a new one is when the edges of the wood start to snag on my cushion cover or my clothes - I take fine sandpaper and rub out the area that the wood is breaking down then I put a fine layer of varnish over the area I sanded - when all 4 corners have broken down and are starting to crack I get a new board - or if the edges are not smooth any more and they pinch my skin then its time for a new board
