the product was portrayed as having metal parts to attach it to the toilet - it did not have them. This was both in ad and in the manual that came with it. The plastic parts that came with it stripped their threads the first time it was attempted to attach seat to toilet.Landlord had to go out and search out hard to find and expensive metric system [...] i have yet to see if the item holds up as guarenteed, but it was very hard to install and doesn't look like it will hold. It claims to hold 1000 lbs and i am WELL less than half that amount.

The plastic "bolts" are difficult to thread on when seat is in position. Better to actually do this first when you can see hinges and threads accustom to seating. But I am thinking the plastic should be metal instead and may substitute as the seat is loose already. But it covers the subject area well and comfortable if not too big for me!

I had no idea this product would be so heavy. I could hardly carry the box. I purchased this because I have some friends who visit and are over 300 pounds. There is no way that I can use this myself, so I am looking for someone who can since you cannot return toilet seats, even if they are unused.
