I ordered this product believing that it was a Rubbermaid raised toilet seat that I had used before. When I received the item, it was a Carex seat. We had tried to use a Carex seat before and were not pleased with it. The seat is not smooth (irritating to the skin of the patient) and the opening is shaped like a funnel which is uncomfortable. I got this to add height to the toilet for my father. What a mess! the opening is not large enough for an adult to use with out making a mess. Dad is NOT a large man, and he has suffered a lot of embarrassment having to use this devise. I feel so bad for purchasing it. It also stains bad. After only a couple of weeks, I threw it away. I haven;t given up, will be sure to check reviews and find something better for my dad.
