Perfect Fit Verified Purchaser

Pros:
Sturdy. Easy To Install. Lightweight. Functional. Safe.
Best Uses:
Disabled. Elderly.
Describe Yourself:
Budget Shopper.

I was worried this would be too tall for my 5'2" elderly Mom -- but it was perfect. And the rest of the family doesn't mind using it at all. We installed both the toilet riser and the toilet safety frame and it works together perfectly. Mom can use the bathroom in private and get her self in and out with ease - even just a few days after knee replacement surgery!

Just What I Needed

Pros:
Easy To Install. Safe. Sturdy. Lightweight. Functional.
Best Uses:
Disabled.
Describe Yourself:
Midrange Shopper. Practical.

I have purchased this item for when we go to our timeshare. Each year I just leave it but I certainly don't count on it still being there and in good working condition so I buy another.

This is a little too high for my elderly 5'2" mom with her chair height toilet, but it is sturdy and we can close the lid when we need to.

Better than all the others Verified Reviewer

Pros:
Lightweight. Easy To Install. Functional. Sturdy. Safe.
Best Uses:
Elderly. Residential. Disabled.
Describe Yourself:
Budget Shopper.

I bought another type a few years ago for my wife. It works fine and has a cutout in front, BUT you cannot close the lid! Now I bought this Carex for myself for a bathroom that Guests may have to use also, therefore I like that the lid can be closed, and the total appearance of it [on a white toilet] It is very inconspicious and has a comfortable hight.

Great Item for a Great Price.

Pros:
Easy To Install. Safe. Sturdy. Lightweight. Functional.
Cons:
Hard to keep Clean.
Best Uses:
Elderly.
Describe Yourself:
Practical.

This is a good Product and it helped me out a lot when I first came home from the hospital and had a very hard time getting up off my toilet. I felt and hated that I could not use my normal toilet and had to use a potty chair. Once I got the Carex Elevated Toilet Seat and could return to using my own bathroom it makes everything much easier for me. I have not trouble getting off of it and everyone that has come comments about how much taller and easier it is to use. The only problem I see is that it is hard to clean.

Answer:
Cleaning: I spray a bleach-based bathroom cleaner on the inside front at least daily, often whenever I use the toilet. It also gets cleaned along with inside of the toilet bowl whenever the toilet is cleaned. About once a month, I take the seat off and do a complete wipe-down with Clorox wipes. Sturdiness: My husband weights ~155 lbs, transfers to the toilet with a board, and has to remove and pull up pants/underwear while on the seat. There is significant rocking back and forth on the seat, and it does not loosen, as long as the installation screws are really tight.
