I-Class Blow-Molded Transfer Bench
Transfer benches extend beyond the edge of the bathtub. If your mobility is restricted, transfer benches can help you safely transfer in and out of the tub. They offer ample seating areas, backrests, adjustable height legs and arm rails which provide additional support. Transfer benches are available with or without padding.
- Armrail for support while bathing and transferring in and out of the tub.
- Non-marring, non-slip rubber tips.
- Textured, non-slip seat with drain holes & built in soap dish and hand-held shower holders & shower curtain opening.
- Sturdy, durable one-piece blow-molded seat & durable 1in anodized aluminum assembled frame will not rust.
- Reversible backrest accommodated right or left transfers & ergonomically shaped back snaps in and out without tools.

I like this transfer bench because it is sturdy & I feel safe using it.
However, I have had one for a few months now, and the back keeps popping out from the base. I bought another one and the same thing keeps happening. There is no other reinforcement for the back except for plastic, so it is easily bent. The back is not screwed in to the rest of the chair at all. It's just pushed into some holes in the seat. I do not have a lot of core muscles and must lean back on the back the entire time I'm in the shower. I am going to try a different transfer bench next time. One that has metal reinforcements for the back.
I think it would work great IF you don't have to lean on the back constantly.

My husband had a Below knee amputation and has not been able to have a shower. We thought about installing a new walk in shower but the cost was too much at this time. This shower bench is perfect for getting under the shower by transfering into the tub. It was easy for me to install.

Such a reasonable price, [...] and easy to use. My sister was so happy with the newfound ease of taking a shower after her operation. Normally, that's a daunting task, but this shower bench made it much easier and safer.
