The Original Tall-Ette® Elevated Toilet Seat is the basic donut type elevated seat that has been completely redesigned to feel similar in comfort to a regular toilet seat. It's much wider than the typical donut, slightly contoured and has handgrips for easy portability. Elevates the seat by 4" (10.2 cm) and supports up to 300 pounds.

This your classic no-frills raised toilet seat, no moveable parts to screw up, fits onto standard sized toilets. (I'm referring here only to the least expensive/no extra parts version of this item). Only negative is that some patients feel more secure with the type of seat that attaches firmly with the tightener piece.

I specifically purchased this seat with the "locking bracket" but it doesn't actually "lock" down anything. The bracket just slips between the lid connections to prevent the seat from sliding completely off. It's easy to remove but that wasn't really the point for us.
