I used the product for travel, not knowing what kind of commode I would encounter. Worked great on round bowl commode, but not on elongated commode. I was disappointed I could not use it in my home because of having only the Mansfield elongated commodes. I have not tried it on other brands.

I bought this for my mother in law, who is living in an assisted living place after a massive stroke, which left her left side paralyzed.
Since a couple of weeks the staff of the assisted living place wanted her to use a toilet chair, since they had trouble to get my mother in law, who is a bit heavy, up from the toilet.She hated it and it was a drama everytime they had to put her on the toilet.
I looked into different toilet seats, but was concerned about the safety. This one caught my attention, it looks strange.... but I can assure you, it is working. It comes assembled and all you have to do is to press it on the toilet bowl (you can adjust the height, I made it a little bit higher). It is not moving a bit, it is sturdy and safe and most of all.... the opening is really big. My mother in law loves the seat, as a matter of fact she is not even noticing it anymore, it is like a regular toilet seat.
5 stars from me, for me it can't get better!!!

My wife needed something of this nature to transport to other houses who have a low toilet. I found this and was somewhat skeptical. I thought it would be flimsy or wobble on the bowl. Boy was I wrong!! It simply sits on top of the bowl; no wobble, solid! We've not found a bowl it would not sit on. My wife loves it. It'll fit in a large department store bag for transportation without embarrasement. My wife wants to get another one to leave at houses she goes to often... it that good! She carries a bottle of disinfecting cleaning wipes with it as you need to clean it freqently, especially if you are going to remove it often.

 I want to be sure this riser will fit my elongated bowl. Would you forward me the width and depth of the seat.I am replacing the one I have and want to be sure of the same opening size.I need 10"length and 8"width..
