Stiff Material Verified Purchaser

Pros:
Multiple Positions. Solid Construction.
Cons:
Uncomfortable.
Best Uses:
Home. Large Spaces.
Describe Yourself:
Medical Professional.

The wedge has many different uses from watching TV in bed, helping with sexual positions, elevating legs, keeping head elevated for acid reflex or COPD patients, etc. The material is sturdy but I found it to be too hard. It was uncomfortable to sleep on when I had bronchitis. If you are going to use it for sleeping in an upright position you might get one of the lower rises. I also found the 12" rise to be too high causing my lower back to hurt.

I needed a wedge pillow in a hurry for my 97 year old mother-in-law who had a complete abdominal hysterectomy. We could not find the pillow locally, so I found Allegro Medical online and ordered the pillow.[...] works great.

It slips all over the bed. Product could be a little longer. I like the product because I suffer from both asthma AND acid reflux and this bed wedge is a great treatment for these ailments.

SHOULD be 27" or better, 30" long!!! Verified Purchaser

Cons:
Too short 27" needed. Uncomfortable.
Describe Yourself:
Long Term User.

I have an older Hermell wedge that is same as this one but 27" long and that is the minimum useful length.... ideally it should be 30" long when used for sleeping when acid reflux is the reason for using a wedge. Also this wedge is slightly too firm to be comfortable. You SHOULD add a wedge product 30" long, specifically for SLEEPING for those suffering with acid reflux!!!

I'm glad I got this bed wedge for after my surgery. It was very sturdy and I felt confident that I was not going to roll off while sleeping - unlike sleeping on stacked pillows. The only thing that was a little irritating was that it was so hard on the back of my head. Good thing I bought a travel u-shaped pillow to help with that. Good product and [...]
