What Products Should Allegro Add?
December 15th, 2008 at 5:10 pm
It would be great to know what you think we should add to the site.
For example, what specific medical supplies and brands do you buy from others that you can’t get at AllegroMedical.com? Give us the scoop on the latest greatest thing in catheters, diabetes supplies, fitness products, maternity, dietary supplements or pain relief. Reply below, or send me a private message at v (no space) paxton (at) allegro (no space) medical (dot) com.
Is there anything you buy somewhere else because you can get it cheaper there? Lay it on me. Everything. Anything. I’ll see what I can do.
Meanwhile, here’s one for ya: AllegroMedical.com is trying so hard to please everyone that we’re now selling Fractional Shares of the Illinois Senate Seat, courtesy of our very funny President & CEO, Craig Hood.

Val,
I was thinking of my New Year’s Resolutions for ’09, and taking better care of my health is high on the list. However, I didn’t see many vitamins on the website. I also got a dog last year and wish there more products for him. Are you planning to add to either of these categories?
Thanks for asking!!

Ann,
Congrats on your decision to have a healthier 2009. It’s one of the few things in the world that we have some control over, huh! Anyway, go to the category called ‘Dietary Supplements’ and you’ll find 2 sub-categories – Sports Vitamins/Minerals and Vitamins w/lots of choices. To make it really easy just go to the Search box at the top of the page and type ‘multi-vitamin’ or ‘vitamin pack’ (or whatever you’re looking for). The Emercen-C formulas are very popular. Me, I take a multi-vitamin, a calcium pill w/Vitamin D & Zinc, an antioxidant and a glucosamine w/ chondroitin every day.
We are working on getting more pet products on the site. My Cocker Spaniel Honey would like that. For now, type “Pet Bed” into the search box and you can see some of the great products we have so far. Are you looking for something in particular? I’ll see if we can get it.

I can’t seem to find any home screening test kits on your site, e.g. pregnancy, ovulation, UTI, drug screening, or HIV test kits. Do you have home screening kits?

Hey Cindie,
We used to have a bunch of home test kits in our “Diagnostic Products/Home Test Kits” category and I see now that they are gone. I spoke with Daver Williams, our head of Product Management and he is all over it. For now, if you need a Cholesterol Home Test Kit, you can find it there. Check back soon for other kits! And thanks for your excellent suggestion. Keep ‘em coming.

Don’t you have any 2×2 gauze pads?

I have just started intermittent cathing. Been trying to find a small flexible case that would fit in a pocket that I could curl up 1 16″ cath along with a small tube of jell and a cleaning wipe. Now I carry it all in a plastic bag..Not very discreet heading for a public restroom…

A different catheter might help as well. Check out the new LoFric Primo Catheter by Astra-Tech. It’s a hydrophilic single use catheter with sterile water included. You can literally fold it up and put it in your pocket. Follow the link below to read more about it.
