I was amazed at how lightweight this is, and how well balanced. Surprisingly, I actually prefer it to my cane for balance when walking. It feels more stable. Now I can go walking again without worry that I may need to sit and rest, or gain my balance in case of vertigo. I had been walking back and forth in front of my house for exercise. I am 5'2

it is difficult to get onto the chair as you suggested doing. an elderly person has difficulty maneuvering it to sit and then get up. I will be sending them back for a refund.seat is too small.

Gift
This item was purchased as a gift for a Christmas Charity. It was specifically requested by a senior because she likes to take walks but can't go very far without sitting. She was very pleased to receive the item, however our organization has had no follow-up contact with her to know if it has suited her needs.

being able to sit when the body demands it makes walking to the store possible. would like it to be a bit longer when using as a cane. with arthritis and fibromyalgia how far I can walk without stopping varies. waiting in line used to be quite painful, now I just have a seat!

I just contacted the supplier and they said the Handy Seat Walking Cane weighs 1.25 lbs.
