This cane provides almost as much stablity as a hemi-walker and is not quite as wide thus allowing entrance into tighter spaces.

My sister was thrilled to get a new wide-based quad cane. She's too unsteady for the narrow one and this made her feel much more secure.

Answer:
It says 250 lb limit. I am very pleased with my adjustable quad cane as I am not always kicking the legs when I walk with it. I feel perfectly safe with it as I go down a slight hill to get in my car.
