Michael Graves Offset Loop Cane

The Graves Design team has ­developed three height-­adjustable extruded-aluminum canes: an offset loop cane with an ergonomic handle and optional wrist strap; a folding cane with an attached wrist strap that can be used to bundle the collapsed parts.

Another collapsible model that folds into a built-in padded nylon bag. The latter was developed after the team noticed that people often like to keep folding canes out of sight in a bag or purse. Getting it manufactured, however, was tricky: the designers ultimately had to find one factory to make the bags, then a second to assemble the cane into it.
