Foley Catheter Holder

Make things easy on yourself and your patients

Dale Foley Catheter Holder will help you put an end to the problems associated with tape, and reduce the potential for infection and trauma. Easy to put on and take off, the Dale Foley Catheter Holder features a dual patented locking device that securely anchors the catheter in place. It helps minimize patient tampering, facilitates catheter traction, encourages mobility, and can be moved from leg to leg with total ease.

The legband is comfortable, too, thanks to a unique stretch material that distributes compression evenly around the thigh to avoid a tourniquet effect. A Velcro fastener engages the band at any point for a custom fit.

Can be inserted by qualified medical professional or instructed patient. The foley catheter is easily inserted into the urinary bladder and anchored in place with the syringe filled with sterile saline solution to about 10 cc. Urine will flow out the tube until it is connected to a drainage bag. This product is great because it has properties made into material to control infection.

I use this to hold my naprostomy tube up on my leg. I like the velcro piece that keeps the tube in place. It never slides down my leg.

Answer:
Yes, this catheter holder can be used be either sex. I recommend purchasing a few of them, as they need to be changed every few days for sanitary reasons. I also recommend hand washing/drying as they contain velcro. This is a great product, much better than the adhesive-based holders. And,Medicare does pay for these with a doctor's order.

Answer:
A good product and appears to be useful for both men and women. For me the strap tends to slide down my leg when I walk so it would be useful if the inside of the leg strap had some sort of rubbery material to slow the sliding problem.

Answer:
Yes it is fine for either sex. It does tend to slip down when upright but I don't find that to be much of a problem. I like the way the velcro latches the catheter. It is worth a try.
