This Car Bed is a Lifesaver!!!!!!!! Verified Purchaser

Pros:
Easy to Adjust. Safe. Sturdy. Easy to Clean. Comfortable.
Cons:
Hard to Install.
Best Uses:
Infants. Newborn.

My baby has really severe reflux. She would scream the whole entire time in a traditional infant carrier. This car bed has made an incredible difference in our life. We are able to leave the house and know that she is not in pain because of her car seat. I wish I would have had it for the first 5 weeks of her life.

Doesn't suck

Pros:
easy to carry. easy to carry.
Cons:
Plastic. A bit too long.
Best Uses:
Newborn.
Describe Yourself:
First-time father.

While I would prefer to use the fancy car seat I have, certain thing necessitated that we use a car bed. As this is the only one on the market we got it, and I've been surprised that it isn't as bad as I feared, but I'd still rather use a sturdy, steel car seat instead.

Didn't work for us

Cons:
Hard to Install.
Best Uses:
Newborn. Infants.
Describe Yourself:
Mother of 2 boys.

I bought this car bed because our second son screamed in the car, breaking my heart every time we had to go somewhere. I thought he may be more comfortable lying down, and decided this was a good option. When it arrived, I was happy with how our son fit, that you could use it similarly to an infant carrier with the handle and that he didn't cry in it. Then we tried to put it in the car... I drive a 2011chevy traverse and we couldn't find a set-up that seemed safe. Not sure if it was just our car, or poor design, but it really seemed that there should be a better way to secure the bed in the seat. Also, the description said LATCH compatible but the directions explicitly say not to be used with the car's LATCH hooks; yet that appeared to be the safest way to have installed it. It also could use a tether to prevent flipping upward toward the seat back ( similar to the hope car bed), and there's no compensation for seat inclines like an infant carrier base provides. Overall, I liked the seat and the idea, but think they need to invest in some more research into installation.

I would recoment this for all infants!

Pros:
Safe. Sturdy. Comfortable. Good Value.
Cons:
A little difficult . install slightly hard.
Best Uses:
Newborn.

The advantage of laying your infant flat is awesome! Long car rides are very hard on babies. This car seat keeps the pressure off the delicate areas of their groin helping to prevent hernia. Also helps them not to get reflux. It is a little difficult to install in some models of cars. Wiggle the seatbelt through the straps of the seat and be sure to use the locking clip. The seat shouldn't move toward the front of the vehicle more than 1 or 2 inches. It will move side to side more than that possibly. That is ok. Only con is it is bulky. But baby's comfort is worth the effort.

Dream Ride car bed is great! Verified Purchaser

Pros:
Good Value.
Best Uses:
Traveling long distances.

I wish I had this infant car seat/bed with my first child (who was also 1 month early) We traveled about 500 miles and having the baby be laying down made the trip so much easier. Installing the belt through the first loop takes some time and patience because it needs to be tight but this product is great in both performance and price.

Answer:
We were unable to find one in any store, so we purchased it from AllegroMedical.com. We took (2) 900 mile round trips, within a few weeks and this car bed was a lifesaver - not only for baby, but for Mom & Grandma too. He was always comfortable and travelled beautifully. WELL WORTH getting this car bed.

Answer:
We did not receive an instructional video but the instructions for strapping it in the back seat are on the side of the bed itself.
