The Adaptable ABC Chair Meets a Child's Individual Seating Needs For functionally impaired children who require support and stabilization in sitting, the anatomically-designed ABC Chair provides an opportunity to establish a good sitting position for everyday activities performed at school, at home or in a rehabilitation clinic. The user-friendly design offers many points of adjustable support that allow the chair to be adapted to each child's individual needs. The chair's base provides stability and mobility. Because the two rear casters are articulated, the chair’s Flexbase underframe is able to adapt to any unevenness in the floor when in motion or at rest. In addition, the Flexbase is equipped with a foot brake on rear wheels to provide stability during transfers. The entire seat can be tilted backward or forward 22° by using the manual crank at the bottom of the seat. The seat can also be raised or lowered with gas-spring assistance. The ABC Chair is offered with either a 12" or 14" width seat and angle-adjustable backrest. Both 12" and the 14" models are offered with standard adjustable arm rests and high back.
