Product Overview

Millennial Medical Millennial Crutch In-Motion Pro - Ergonomic Folding Crutches

Millennial Crutch - Folding Crutches

The improved Millennial Crutch In-Motion Pro has been designed from the ground up to address the problems associated with traditional crutch use. Working together as a functional unit, the features of the Millennial Crutch provide for a comfortable experience while on crutches. The features include the large Underarm Cradle, an Ergonomic Grip, a very popular Folding Design and a Shock Absorbing/Power Assist feature. The NEW bracketed handle is designed to surround the body of the crutch and properly displace weight. The inner tubing is reinforced with a grade 6061 aircraft aluminum inner sleeve designed to support the displaced weight from the handle. The Extended Range of the Crutch also fits a larger range of heights than a traditional crutch.

Millennial Crutch

Underarm Cradle:

This unique feature provides for a better sense of stability in use. The cradle feature allows for greater position confidence while in the walking motion. As the walking movement proceeds, the front position of the under arm cradle gives the user forward arm and shoulder support. Consequently there is less reliance on the direct underarm, reducing pressure. Since the user relies less on the underarm support, there is a reduction in back and shoulder stress.

  • Larger area enhances sense of walking stability.
  • Reduces underarm fatigue and soreness.
  • More comfortable and easy to use.
Ergonomic Grip:

The ergonomic grip on the Millennial Crutch is at an angle of 12°, designed to provide the greatest amount of blood flow and reduced trauma to the nervous system. The grip also features a soft sculptured foam handle for comfortable palm support.

  • Designed for repetitive and vigorous use.
  • Allows proper blood flow and nerve conduction.
  • Reduces carpal tunnel syndrome and wrist tendinitis.
Folding Design:

Traditional crutches are awkward to use in crowded settings like in a car, on an airplane, sitting in an audience, or at a restaurant. The collapsible push pin folding design feature of the Millennial Crutch makes using it in public places much more convenient. It simply folds for easy storage.

  • Convenient to fold and store.
  • Easy to carry and take anywhere.
Shock Absorber / Power Assist:

The patented shock-absorbing/power assist feature of the Millennial Crutch increases comfort by reducing stress, fatigue and soreness. The tension of the shock absorber allows the necessary cushion in each step, but is firm enough to provide a feeling of security and stability. The tip absorbs the impact energy then returns that captured energy positively, helping the patient move forward. This reduces back, shoulder, elbow, arm and wrist pain.

Pros:

Best Uses:
Outdoors. Wet Weather. Indoors.
Describe Yourself:
Short Term User.

I had back surgery so when I had to have foot surgery, comfort was extremely important to me. I had used the tradtional crutches years ago, and remembered all too well the sore underarms, blistered hands, etc. I'm happy to say NONE of that happened with these crutches. They are very sturdy and the springs took a lot of the impact when I walked on them.

I like it for going into restaurants, meetings anywhere that the fold and store aspect would be of use. However, for normal day to day use, I felt tippy and insecure. The arm rest is too big It get in my way

Best Uses:

Describe Yourself:
Athlete. Short Term User. Medical Professional.

I have used "traditional" design crutches and the Millenial crutches, these are by far better. Much easier under the arm, does not put pressure on your wrists, avoiding carpal tunnel, and the shock absorbing feature really helps make them easier on my body overall. I'd definitely recommend them to anyone.

These Millennial Crutches are life changing for me. Before them I could not stand full upright on my own. Millennial crutches I raised in partial three increments so now I can stand tall again comfortably instead of stooping most of the time in half as I did all the time. With them if leaning on vehicle or leaning on a wall I can stand in place for short periods which was impossible before them. Millennial crutches helped to double the number of steps walked. Normal folks never speak in steps but to double one's steps when one speaks of walking in steps or seconds is impressive indeed when one uses a power wheelchair! Millennial crutches with their ergonomic under arm support and left and right hand-grips also ergonomically designed, were instantly comfortable from the first day of use even though I am quite obese. Crutches never required any break-in period and just seemed to work in synchrony with my body( AT 5'10" I purchased the tall ones). My biggest problem seemed to be grabbing the left crutch for the right side and the right for the left so I ended this issue by placing a colored tie on the right crutch to know immediately which to grab first. I just can not say enough about the Millennial crutch's wonderful design especially for a person using them every day all day long day and night even though I ambulate little compared to normal individuals. They also have a marvelous design feature of sorts, a spring built in to help propel one forward and it works! Although they do fold for convenience, I never folded them after he first time. I simply leave them long/open because we are only the two of us so I slide one end of them between my front captain seats raising them sometimes to hang them over the next row. They are easily ready to grab when I exit this way. Millennial crutch makes it possible for me to access my own power wheelchair now without assistance especially when I can grasp the ergonomic handles easily using them as a cane when seating myself or when getting back up. Only a slight twist of my wrist, a turn in the crutch swings the crutch back under my arm once upright. The only flaw in the first model was already corrected in this model--the handles loosened over time. I mentioned this when I called on my shipping order. Spoke with manufacturer, he the actual crutch designer/creator graciously sent new connections for my old crutches along with my two new crutch purchases. He did not have to do this but the creator said he looked up my first purchase-- it was under one year. He said my original crutches were guaranteed. A creator/manufacturer seeking to provide a perfect product when I did not ask him to do so?! They/He went above and beyond for sure!!! He is as good as businessman as the product itself is a progressive crutch! ) The only thing I did not care for on the crutches are their tips which left black marks on my cappichino marble floors but after I purchased an expensive set($10.95 for one pair)of non marking tips the Millennial crutch canes as I call them became perfection--first thing I grab each morning last thing I touch before bed! My birds love them too when I raise the arm rest to get them off drapery rods where they are not allowed. Birds softly step down onto the cushioned armrest--yes armrests have just the right amount of cushioning in a very high end foam rubber that has not deteriorated one bit with constant use for over one year. Only one gouge when I caught one cushion on a sharp edge when crutch was falling. I use them to sit to stand, to bend over and to walk and to occasionally collect cockatiel from a drapery rod. It is no surprise the Millennial crutch won new product of the year the year they were introduced. I definitely recommend them to any and all who may have need of a crutch whether short term or long haul the Millennial 'crutch canes' as I call them are well worth the investment-- perhaps much more--do not tell manufacturer ;-).

Answer:
For the 5'6" and under size, the crutches are basically in three parts. One third, the bottom part, is snapped on, and the other 2/3 folds in half. So unassembled, the size is approximately 21"L x 11"W x 3" deep. I had the same question before I purchased them.
