SimplX GFR Gel Foam Cushion
The SimplX GFR wheelchair cushion from Regency Products is a pressure relieving gel and foam combination cushion. The cushion cover comes with a zipper closure and is made of Recovery 5, which is an antibacterial and antifungal fluid resistant material with a non-skid, slip-resistant vinyl bottom. The cushion is available in an 18" wide and 16" deep size with a cushion thickness choice of 2", 3" or 4".

This cushion is decent for the price. If you like sinking into the cushion, then it's for you. I prefer something firmer. The cover shown is black, but mine came in blue...so no match to the chair. The cover is awful. It is slick on one side and vinyl on the other. If you aren't really mobile or very strong, I suggest a different cover...it can throw you straight onto the floor! For the price I am ok with this cushion, although I will be spending more for a different cover.

This cushion is comfortable and very practical for use in a wheelchair. It is lightweight and easy to transport. It slips in the w/c a bit and I am going to attach velcro tabs to the bottom of it to hook onto my w/c. I am of average weight, so the amount of cushion is just right. It may not be appropriate for a heavier person.

It is 4” of foam that when sat on totally flattens out to thinner than a small town newspaper. can't find the gel.

This cushion would be good if it contained more gel. It feels like all form. The one I purchesed from wound care is excellent except it needs to be 3 or 4 inches. It is heavy but relieves the pressure much nicer for my condition.
The other one from wound care has a small handle that helps to carry it. It also folds nicely in half because of all the gel. It is heavy but would do the job if a little thicker.
