T-Gel Checkerboard Cushion

The benefits of gel cushioning are extraordinary pressure distribution and shear relief which mimics fatty tissue.

We've added a checkerboard profile to AliMed's elastomeric T-Gel™ Cushion to give enhanced pressure distribution and shear force reduction. In four combinations.

The best choice for minimum-thickness applications is our 3/4" thick T-Gel Checkerboard Cushion. For additional pressure reduction, choose T-Gel Checkerboard with T-Foam™. Gel rest on top of a 1" layer of medium, self-molding slow recovery T-Foam. For better stability in a sling-seat wheelchair, use T-Gel Checkerboard with an AliMed® Solid Seat Insert™ (SSI™)base, which fills in sling-seat sag.

Finally, for maximum pressure reduction in a sling, seat, choose T-Gel Checkerboard with T-Foam and SSI,which adds a layer of slow-recovery T-Foam between the top Checkerboard gel layer and the bottom Solid Seat Insert base.
