I bought this phone for my 83 year old, hard of hearing mother, after she spent 32 days in hopsital and rehab. The phone's amplification is GREAT, but she finds all the buttons intimidating. :-) I think it's good phone, easy to use and program numbers into it. Plus the phone lights up when it rings or when you push a button-- nice feature! The only con is that you cannot turn the ringer off. No biggie.
