We have a platform bed and I had to attach a hook on the opposite side of the bed to anchor the rail. Great concept, just have to get wife to use it.

A must have for seniors!

Pros:
Easy Storage. Sturdy. Lightweight. Safe. Durable. Easy To Use. Improves Experience.
Best Uses:
Elderly. Emergency.
Describe Yourself:
Practical. Caregiver.

I purchased this for my 85 year old mother who recently fell and fractured her pelvis. It will prevent her from rolling off the bed, and it gives her something sturdy to assist her in getting out of bed. She loves it and she places her remote control to the TV in the storage pockets on each side and other items like pen and paper, and her glasses. This is an excellent product.

Answer:
See the specs on the web site..a tad smaller than the "home" bed cane. EZ to install. I used it when visiting family and it took 5 minutes or less. My husband was really surprised when he went to bed to see that there was a bed cane in place.

Answer:
Not unlike the "home" cane. You run the hook-up lines between the mattress and box spring and tie to bed frame, or as I did tie to the bed post. Worked great and my husband was thankful for the assist.
