I bought this for my 81-year old mother. She has severe Rheumatoid Arthritis and a degenerative disk disease affecting her neck. Ten years ago, she underwent spinal surgery to remove a benign cyst in her spinal chord leaving her numb in her bottom area. Mom said the BedCane was a gift from heaven. The BedCane makes it so much easier for her to get in and out of bed. It's easy to put under the mattress (and strap in) and is not obtrusive. Mom wishes I had bought it for her ten years ago after she had her surgery! So do I. Thanks so much from both mother and daughter!

Would be better if it folded flat against the bed when the bed is made up. Bed spreads will not go over it.

The bed cane is a great help for my Mom who is elderly and also recently had surgery. It's well made and sturdy and attaches firmly to the bed frame. You do need an able body person (someone to lift the mattress) to install it. Mom just loves it! It makes it much easier for her to get out of bed.

this has been great to help my dad get in and out of bed. The only problem we had was that we did not have a box spring and had to make some adjustments to the board under the mattress to secure. In all this is well worth it.
