Exactly what i needed

Pros:
Sturdy. Safe. Lightweight.

I use this stool in the kitchen while cooking our meals. I've had it approximately two weeks and so far it is exactly what I want and needed. I have problems with my knees and hip and can't stand for long periods. The only thing I can think of that would help would be someway to move around on it while using it. Don't think wheels would work so I'm I have no other ideas. I'm pleased so far.

Great Value

Pros:
Sturdy. Safe. Lightweight.
Cons:
Seat a little stiff.
Best Uses:
Following Surgery. Elderly.
Describe Yourself:
bilateral hip patient.

I have seen this chair offered elsewhere for more than $100. It is not covered by insurance and the other companies are really taking advantage of those with special needs by increasing the price. Thank you Allegro Medical for being so honest. I had a bilateral hip replacement (both at once) and needed something sturdy and light weight for the kitchen - I've ended up using it everywhere. It's light enough to take in the car when traveling as well. Great bargain!

My Husband Loves It! Verified Purchaser

Pros:
Sturdy. Safe.
Cons:
Bulky.
Best Uses:
Cooking when disabled.
Describe Yourself:
Caregiver. A concerned wife.

My husband loves to cook but is presently unable to stand for any length of time. This chair has made it possible for him to continue to cook our family's meals. He is so very happy because he feels completely safe on the chair and it's high enough for him to work at the counter. Thank you, thank you, thank you.

A Moderately Priced Alternative Verified Purchaser

Pros:
Lightweight. Sturdy.
Best Uses:
Elderly. Physically challenged. Following Surgery.
Describe Yourself:
Elderly.

I like to cook but cannot stand for any period of time to cut onions, potatoes etc. I looked at quite a few "perching stool" options, but many of them are several hundred dollars so I opted to buy this one. It's only drawback for me is that I cannot also use it in the shower, as my apartment is small and storage space virtually non-existent.

I would buy this product again, & I did. Verified Purchaser

Pros:
Safe. Lightweight. Sturdy.
Best Uses:
Elderly.
Describe Yourself:
Caregiver.

Purchased for my 91 year old mother to use when ironing and cooking at the stove. It takes pressure off her knees (bone on bone). This chair is wonderful! Also, purchased another one for an 83 year old uncle with knee & hip problems. He's so happy with it.

Question:
Would this work for a short lady who is 4' 11"? Can it be "modified" by cutting off the bottom of leg part with the adjusting holes to make it shorter?
