why didn't anyone think of this before! Verified Purchaser

Pros:
Safe. Lightweight.
Cons:
Poor quality finish. Very small.
Best Uses:
Young children. Limited armhand usage. Visually handicapped. Elderly.
Describe Yourself:
Caregiver.

There is simply no other product like this. My dad is nearly blind and can no longer "find" the food on his plate. He was "pushing" the food off his plates. These plates make eating less of a struggle and less embarassing. I wish they would make a regular sized plate. This is more like a large dessert plate, he's blind not anorexic! Also the rim of the plate which is a very light weight plastic is very rough -almost sharp.

I would recommend this product to others Verified Purchaser

Pros:
Safe. Lightweight. Sturdy.
Best Uses:
Elderly.

This product was recommended by the Occupational Therapist that was working with my mother-in-law who has suffered a stroke. She did not have the use of her left hand, and she now "scoops" her food. However, she was shoveling it off the plate. This plate has helped her keep the food on her plate and she is now getting more nourishment. It is a blessing to have this plate, as we were not aware of it.

Needs to be redesigned

Pros:
Sturdy. Has skid resistant bottom.
Cons:
not dishwasher safe. not microwave oven safe.
Best Uses:
Elderly. one hand easy to use.
Describe Yourself:
Caregiver.

This plate really needs to be dishwasher safe and microwave safe to get a 5 star rating. Plus the skid bottom should we attached at the factory so it lasts for the life of the plate.
