I use a wheelchair so I use it to get in and out of my car and my shower, without it I would not be able to do these things on my own.

My wooden board has a hand-sized grip hole that I like, but the ridges in the plastic board make it easy to grasp and move. Plastic is easier to sterilize (bleach), and should not deteriorate in the shower where I mainly need it. It is strong and lightweight, which is a nice combination.

I have used this same transfer board for years. It is a part of my life, a must have. The wooden board does not meet my needs. Allegro's price was very pleasing. I use the board to transfer from my wheelchair to my bed, and back, transfer from bed to shower chair and back, and anytime I need to move from my wheelchair. Thanks for asking.
