An inservice training program for the entire feeding staff presented by the leading authority in dysphagia management. The effects of various postures on the safety of swallowing in dysphagic clients are illustrated. The rationale for controlling various aspects of the feeding situation, such as consistency, amount per swallow, and time between swallows are discussed. Warning signs of difficulty with swallowing are illustrated.
