Reasonable price and will purchase again

Pros:
Great flexibliity. length suits the purpose.
Cons:
Wider diameter preferred. Not easy to clean.
Best Uses:
thermos in kitchen drawer.
Describe Yourself:
quadriplegic.

Purchase 10 reusable straws at one time. May last as long as a year with good care. Only wish there was a wire or plunger of some kind that comes with the straws for easier cleaning. I use a long wire and small piece of paper towel to clean and dry the inside of straw. You can see stain from color of fluid drank such as tea or punch. When straw is setting inside a thermos, the top part of straw can be manipulated to be brought forward to the mouth and for my son that has movement of arms but not fingers it works well and gives him independence through the day.

Answer:
Yes they are chew able. They can easily get damaged if you chew on them. My daughter is the same way with chewing on everything, so I was a bit disappointed that the straw got damaged so easily. They are very long, so what I ended up doing was cutting off the part that she chewed. They are medical grade, so I am assume that they are safe..
