Product Overview

North Coast Medical Rocking "T" Knife

Rocking "T" Knife

The Rocking "T" Knife allows easy cutting of meat and other foods for people with a weak grasp or the use of only one hand. This stable, easy-to-use utensil cuts food with a rocking motion and because pressure is applied directly above the food to be cut, less strength and dexterity is needed by the user.

The Rocking "T" Knife is highly recommended and has the most comfortable grip, compared to similar knives we have seen. Its 4" wooden handle is shaped to fit the hand. The 3 1/2" stainless steel blade may be sharpened with a knife sharpener.

Dishwasher safe up to 125°F. Latex free.

Take the knife with you when eating meals out. An attractive, fitted leather case allows you to carry the Rocking "T" Knife in your purse, bag, or pocket. Click here to order Carrying Case.

This Knife if Worth Buying! Verified Purchaser

Pros:
Sturdy. Easy to use.
Best Uses:
Elderly. Use of only one hand.
Describe Yourself:
Caregiver.

This rocker knife is the only style worth spending money on if the person can only use one hand for feeding themselves. By pushing down directly on top, the grip doesn't have to be as tight as with a handled knife. We have two for my Mom, one with table-knife sharpness and one with steak-knife sharpness for meats, etc. (This model is the sharper knife.)

Disappointed Verified Purchaser

Pros:
Sturdy. Lightweight.
Cons:
Uncomfortable to use.
Describe Yourself:
Average Health.

The handle isn't as wide or as rounded as I had hoped, so it is uncomfortable against the palm of my hand. Also, the metal neck (between blade & handle) hurts my fingers when I hold it. I probably won't use it much, if at all.
