GOOD BASIC TOOL Verified Purchaser

Pros:
Lightweight. Sturdy. Safe.
Best Uses:
Elderly. Following Surgery.
Describe Yourself:
Medical Professional.

I SPECIFICALLY USE THIS STYLE OF SOCK AIDE WITH PATIENTS WHO ARE WEARING TED HOSE. I FIND THAT THEY CAN LEARN TO DONN THE HOSE WITH THIS DEVICE AND IT'S EASIER TO USE THAN A STANDING FRAME. MANY OF MY PATIENTS CONTINUE USING THE AIDE AFTER POST-OP PRECAUTIONS HAVE BEEN DISCONTINUED AS IT MAKES GETTING DRESSED EASIER. CAREGIVERS FIND IT HELPFUL TOO AS THEY DON'T HAVE TO STRUGGLE TO DONN THE COMPRESSION HOSE.

BOTTOM LINE Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

Good Product

Pros:
Sturdy. Lightweight. Easy Storage. Safe.
Best Uses:
Following Surgery.

Don't pay for the 1 -3 day expedited shipping like I did! the product was under $12.00 but we needed it as fast as we could get it and I paid the $19.75 for expedited shipping. We finally got it 7 days later. I got some lip service from customer service how it takes 3 or 4 days for packaging it for shipping. If this is true they should tell you on the website this fact. I sent an email trying to get them to refund some of the shipping charges. I sent the company an email after talking the mouth at their company and I haven't heard from them. I am filing a complaint with ebay since that is where I found this company. I paid to have this product in my home in 3 days at the most.

I bought this for my 83-year-old father who was having great difficulty getting his socks on. He told me it works well and was easy to use. He told others in his living complex with the same difficulty, and they are going to order one.

Answer:
I use it with calf high non-compression socks. I did attempt to use with knee high compression socks, but their tightness did not permit the cylinder to expand sufficiently to slide over my heel. I don't imagine it would work with thigh igh compression socks.

Answer:
No! It is not helpful in putting on compression socks. I have had 2 of these devices snap/crack in half because of the pressure of the socks themselves.
