I have set the alarm on my cell phone to go off at 7am (wake Brandon) and 730am (get up Brandon) to call my teenager to wake him up for school. He always tells me " I am up, just resting my eyes" I got him this alarm for X-mas and he IS up when I call. I showed it to a friend and I ordered one for her daughter also.

It's nice. It actually wakes me up, but honestly I believe it's mostly impart to the bed shaker as it doesn't seem much louder then my last alarm. Which I believe was rated at a lot lower dB level. I gave it 5 stars anyways because I have no way of testing if it's as loud as they claim, if it is I must be going deaf. =P
