The sole purpose of buying this alarm clock was because I honestly do NOT hear my other alarm clocks (I have three). I am such a sound sleeper I could most likely sleep through a tornado. So the thought that this was a Sonic Bomb alarm clock intrigued me. The fact that it was also in skull decor was cool (I'm a horror fanatic). While the clock isn't as loud as I expected it to be -- it works. It actually wakes me up. It is the first alarm clock in over 20 years that I actually hear in the morning. I have not used the pillow shaker that comes with the clock yet since I sleep in such weird positions -- I figure I would just knock it to the floor. I also haven't used the IPod attachment because frankly, even though my sister gave me an IPod three years ago, I still haven't figured that thing out. This is a great product. If you are a heavy sleeper and simply do not hear normal alarm clocks...buy this one. It does work, even without the additional add ons.
