Helpful Verified Purchaser

Pros:
Sturdy. Lightweight.
Best Uses:
Elderly.
Describe Yourself:
Caregiver.

I prefer the trigger to be in the front of the handle rather than the rear. It would be easier to control and grasp objects.

STRONG STURDY CAN LIFT HEAVIER ITEMS Verified Purchaser

Pros:
Lightweight. Easy Storage. Safe. Sturdy.
Cons:
NOT QUITE WIDE ENOUGH.
Best Uses:
PARAPLEGIA EASY TO REACH.
Describe Yourself:
Average Health.

I USE THIS TO PUT THINGS OVER MY HEAD OR IN THE BACK OF A CABINET. ALSO, IT IS ABLE TO PICK UP FLAT ITEMS FROM THE FLOOR SUCH AS A CREDIT CARD. IT IS VERY STURDY WITH THE ABILITY TO LIFT A GOOD AMOUNT OF WEIGHT. I DO FIND THAT IT IS A BIT NARROW BETWEEN THE CUPS SO IT MAKES ANY ITEM OF IRREGULAR SIZE MORE DIFFICULT TO GRASP.

Handy for reaching some items Verified Purchaser

Pros:
Safe. Lightweight.
Describe Yourself:
Average Health.

This is handy for my shorter wife who can't reach items in the upper cupboards. It's handy for lightweight and narrow items, and some bagged items. Small cans of soup, small food boxes, chips, etc generally are "grabable" by this reacher. Wider or heavier items may or will not work with this. I do wish it had a small hook or hanger on the handle end so I could hang it over a small nail on the inside of a cupboard door. It's hard to find a place to simply store it out of the way when not using it.

fair value Verified Purchaser

Pros:
Lightweight.
Cons:
Flimsy.
Best Uses:
Handicapped. Elderly.
Describe Yourself:
Elderly. Handicapped.

If you have used typical "grabbers" you'll find first use of this product a little awkward. Usually the rearmost handles on these devices are stationary. With this grabber, the grasping motion is achieved by grasping using your thumb. You must squeeze the rearmost handle to grab something. This is not how the human hand works, especially if you're limited by any number of problems. ---Like age. The rearmost movable handle is not solid, just a thin 'u' shaped plastic that may not hold up to stress. There are no holes or hook attachment points, so storing it might be problematic. It isn't expensive, that's its main value.

This item is very useful in removing bottles and cans from the fridge. The useful suction cups hold wet items from condensation extremely well. Also very helpful in removing items from the pantry shelves and in the shower, retrieving the soap on the floor, GREAT!

Reacher/Grabber Verified Purchaser

Pros:
Lightweight.
Cons:
Bulky. Flimsy. Unsafe.
Describe Yourself:
User of product.

I bought this product to be able to pick things up from the floor that I drop as I am bedridden. The grasp between the suction cups of this product is very weak and you can't pick up anything weighty or it will drop back to the floor.

Best Uses:
decreased mobility. Elderly.

I use this for myself also. My dad has purchased a similar device in the past but they were not as sturdy. The price of this was equivalent to the previous device that was not quite as strong.

OUTSTANDING REACHER! Verified Purchaser

Pros:
Lightweight. Safe. Easy Storage. Sturdy.
Best Uses:
DAILY HELP.
Describe Yourself:

THIS IS A GREAT REACHER FOR THE COST. THE ONLY THING I DON'T LIKE ABOUT IT IS THE MOVABLE PART OF THE HANDLE IN CONTROLED BY THE HAND INSTEAD OF THE FINGERS SO IT CAN BE HARD TO USE. I HAVE 2 32" AND 1 24" AND HAVE ONE EACH ROOM.
