Product Overview

Harris Communications TV Listener Infrared Stereo System with Additional Headset

TV Listener Infrared Stereo System with Additional Headset

Now available with two headsets! With the TV Listener, one person can enjoy the television while the other sleeps, reads or studies. Also perfect for individuals with hearing loss, this complete cordless infrared system allows one family member to listen to the TV at a higher volume level than other people who are in the same room. The disk transmitter and ergonomic headset deliver superior sound when used with nearly any TV or audio source, allowing you to enjoy your favorite TV shows or radio programs without wearing a bulky headset.

Infrared technology has no interference, tuning adjustment or frequency drift, and the battery life is longer. Infrared transmits clearly because it uses light waves, just like a TV remote, to transmit sound. The headset receiver then converts the light waves back into high fidelity stereo sound.

TV Listener Infrared Stereo System with Additional Headset Features:

  • Transmits up to 33 feet
  • Works in stereo or mono mode
  • Infrared technology
  • Wireless - no cords or wires
  • No radio or electronic interference
  • Works independently of TV speakers
  • Works with stereo and home theater systems, desktop and laptop computers, portable players (DVD, etc.), video games and other audio sources (not compatible with movie theater systems)

What is an IR (infrared) system?
IR, or infrared systems, transmit sound via invisible light waves within direct line of sight. There is added security in an IR system because sound cannot "spill over" to other rooms. Many multiplex theaters use IR systems for that reason.

Describe Yourself:
old guy.

I have seen other types of tv listening devices and this is far and away the best out there, for the price. They are comfortable to wear, and you will hear things you don't hear with the regular tv speakers. Makes a good reason you can't hear the wife on Football Sundays.
