Nice thing about the lite strips is that they require no coding. Just insert and test. The few strips that I have found defective were replaced by the manufacturer with a simple phone call.

My healthcare provider recommended another product and nearly every test had to be done at least two times because my blood sample was small. The product hurt to use, had limited success and a high amount of waste. Sometimes 3 test strips were required to get one result. I paid for the Freestyle Lite system myself and pay outside of insurance for the strips. It was worth every penny. Every test is a success with the smallest imaginable blood sample.
