Milupa OS 2 - 500g

Milupa OS 2 is a powdered medical food containing a mixture of pure L-amino acids free from isoleucine, methionine, threonine and valine, and enriched with vitamins, minerals and trace elements. For the dietary management of propionic acidemia and methylmalonic academia in children and adults, including pregnant women and women of child-bearing age.

Preparation:

The amount of OS 2 needed to supplement total daily protein requirements (other than isoleucine, methioine, threonine and valine) depends on age, body weight and individual tolerance for isoleucine, methionine, threonine and valine. The dose of OS 2 must be determined by a physician or dietitian and adjusted periodically.

The daily amount required should be divided into 3 to 5 single portions and can be taken mixed with calculated amounts of other food (e.g. beverages, fruit mousse). For accuracy, OS 2 should be weighed on a gram scale.

Store unopened cans at room temperature. Do not store at extreme temperatures. After opening, keep can tightly covered and store in a cool, dry place (not in the refrigerator) and use within four weeks.

Precaution:Must be used under medical supervision. For individuals over one year of age with proven Propionic Acidemia or Methylmalonic Acidemia. Not suitable as a sole source of nutrition. Not for parenteral use.
