Milupa PKU 3 is a powdered medical food containing a mixture of pure L-amino acids free from phenylalanine, enriched with vitamins, minerals and trace elements. For the dietary management of phenylketonuria in older children and adults, including pregnant women and women of child-bearing age.

Milupa PKU 3 - Preparation:

The amount of PKU 3 needed to supplement total daily protein requirements (other than phenylalanine) depends on age, body weight, and individual phenylalanine tolerance. The dose of PKU 3 must be determined by a physician or dietitian and adjusted periodically.

The daily amount required should be divided into 3 to 5 single portions and can be taken mixed with calculated amounts of other food (e.g. beverages, fruit mousse). For accuracy, PKU 3 should be weighed on a gram scale.

Store unopened cans at room temperature. Do not store at extreme temperatures. After opening, keep can tightly covered and store in a cool, dry place (not in the refrigerator) and use within four weeks.

Precaution:Must be used under medical supervision. For adolescents, adults, and pregnant women with proven PKU/HPA. Not suitable as a sole source of nutrition. Not for parenteral use.
