Protifar
Protifar is a powdered, concentrated protein source based on milk protein. A medical food designed for the dietary management of patients with disease-related increased or modified protein needs.

Protifar - Indications:
- Disease-related malnutrition
- Catabolic states e.g. burns, trauma, post-operative stress
- Hypoproteinemia
- Conditions where there are significant protein losses
- Conditions where sodium and/or potassium intake are restricted
- Modular diets
- Suitable for oral and tube feedings
Protifar Preparation: Intake to be determined by a medical professional and is dependent on age, body weight and medical condition of the patient. Use under medical supervision. Not suitable as the sole source of nutrition. Not for parenteral use. Protifar has a neutral taste and can therefore be added to both sweet and savory foods and drinks without significantly altering flavor or texture. It is also suitable for use in cooking. For best results, Protifar should be mixed with sufficient cold liquid to form a smooth paste before stirring into food or drink. A level scoop holds approximately 2.5 g of powder (2.2 g protein)
