Similac Isomil Advance Soy Formula w/ Iron Powder - 12.9 oz cans

Usage: A soy-based, iron-fortified infant formula with special nutrients found in breast milk, DHA (docosahexaenoic acid) and ARA (arachidonic acid). A nutritionally complete formula for infants with feeding problems such as fussiness, gas, and spit-up; for infants whose parents choose a non-milk-based formula as a first feeding or as a supplement to breastfeeding. A complete formula for infants with allergy or sensitivity to cow's-milk protein. A feeding for patients with disorders for which lactose should be avoided, including lactase deficiency, lactose intolerance, and galactosemia (Powder preferred).Precaution: Soy formulas are not recommended for preterm infants with birth weights less than 1800 g.Features:

The clinical study showed immune cell development like infants fed breast milk/milk-based formula. Whether this development provides immune protection like the breastfed infant has not been shown.
• Soy protein isolate to avoid symptoms of cow's-milk-protein allergy or sensitivity.
• Lactose-free to avoid lactose-associated symptoms (eg, diarrhea).
• Provides greater calcium absorption than Enfamil® ProSobee® LIPIL® to help build strong bones.
• A blend of two carbohydrates--corn syrup and sucrose--using two absorptive pathways to maximize absorption and minimize risk of malabsorption.
• Low osmolality (200 mOsm/kg water).

Powder: 12.9 oz cans with measuring scoop enclosed.Preparation: Standard dilution (20 Cal/fl oz) is one level, unpacked scoop of Powder (8.7 g) for each 2 fl oz of warm water.
