Theratherm Digital Moist Heating Pad

Theratherm Digital Moist Heating Pad

The Best Choice in Home Moist Heat Therapy

From the creators of the Hydrocollator Moist Heat HotPac, we are pleased to introduce Theratherm, a digital electric moist heating pad designed for the convenience of home use. The digital moist heating pad provides temporary relief from pain associated with muscle spasm and inflammation caused by strain and tension.

The Theratherm Digital Moist Heating Pad is easier to use than the other electric heating pads on the market due to its unique digital hand control. Most competitive units require continuous contact with a spring-loaded switch to generate and maintain heat from the pad. The digital controller allows one to set the temperature and time as well as features a lockout mode to guard against remiss touching to the controls during treatment.

  • Digital hand control allows operator to program, as well as monitor, the temperature and treatment time.
  • Lockout mode protects against inconsistent changing of the control settings throughout treatment.
  • Allow patient to relax and enjoy therapy with out the hassle of maintaining contact with a hand held switch
  • Therapeutic treatment temperature between 88 and 166 degrees
  • Treatment time between 1 to 60 minutes
  • Specially designed 100% cotton flannel cover.

Shoulder/Neck model:

Warning: The Digital Moist Heating Pad is not to be laid on or sat upon because the pads use a coiled wire system that will be crushed by the users body weight. The pad is to be used by laying it over the targeted body area.

The best relief my back spurs have found

Pros:
Heats Up Quickly. Comfortable. Even Heat. Safe. Lightweight. Sturdy. Easy Storage. Effective. Good Value. How my back spells relief.
Cons:
Needs a 6-9 hour timer..
Best Uses:
Sore Muscles. Muscle Spasms. Women. Back spurs..
Describe Yourself:
Value Oriented. Quality Oriented. Above average health.

I have owned a TheraTherm for over 7 years now. I have laid on it in bed, and draped it over my recliner, and it just quit on me last week. I know it might have lasted longer if I hadn't, but my main object was the quickest relief that I could get from back spur pain, and laying on my stomach was not an option. I just hope that my next one lasts as long as this one did (I am being given another one as a Christmas present- Praise the Lord!!!!!). There is no comparison for me! The only complaint I have is that I can't set the timer for more than 1 hour!

Cons:
None.
Best Uses:
Upper lower back pain.

I love the way you can preset it to a certain time of exposure, the way you can wrap it around yourself and how you can raise or lower the temperature just a few degrees.

Inconvenient

Pros:
Heats Up Quickly. Even Heat.
Cons:
Can't lay on top of it. .
Best Uses:
Sore Muscles.
Describe Yourself:
Average Health. Quality Oriented. Value Oriented.

I like the remote and it heats up quickly, even heat. Might feel really good except that I use if for my back and you are instructed not to lay on top of it. So contact with the skin is iffy. Will try to stap it on with a belt and see if that will work.

Superb Product (so far)

Pros:
Heats Up Quickly. Safe. Sturdy. Good Value. Effective. Comfortable. Seems robustly built. Fine control of heat.. Fine control of time..
Cons:
A little tricky to set.. Very hot when warming..
Best Uses:
Sore Muscles. Muscle Spasms. Men.
Describe Yourself:
Average Health. Quality Oriented. Value Oriented.

When warming up, gets quite hot, and you think it's going to land at a higher temperature than you set it for. But once you get used to it, and calibrate yourself so you know what 120° or 130° or 140° feels like, it's just wonderful. Heavily built, like it would last forever. So it's a quite a bit heavier than other heating pads, but not obnoxiously so.

Answer:
According to instructions, one should never lay down on a heating pad. I can't lay on my stomach either but I have been able to say on my side and lay it across my back with a pillow against it to help hold it on.

Answer:
No. It should. It doesn't stay on the back and you can't lay on top of it. You have to lay on your stomach and put it on your back. Awkward and not too effective. I will probably give it away, although attaching straps to it may halp.
