This is an inexpensive exercise device for physical Therapy.
The unit's drive mechanism becomes excessively hot after a few minutes of use. There is no ventilation system in the unit for the air to circulate.
It should have ballbearings or some mechanism for smooth rotation.

I bought this primarily for my 6-year-old son who has motor planning difficulty to help him get into a pedaling rhythm. He loves it and will frequently sit down and pedal on it. The rhythmic motion of pedaling also has a calming effect on him. It turns out that it gets used even more than I anticipated.
