Top End XLT Gold Handcycle
The Invacare Top End Excelerator XLT Gold with Top End S crankset is the latest competitive handcycle to join the XLT Series. It now features a updated design which allows everyone to benefit from a trunk-powered position. The lightweight, rigid 6061 T6 aluminum frame with fork pivot steering delivers both power and control. High performance 26" wheels with threaded axles, Shimano components and road crown compensator keep you on the straight and narrow. There are 27 speeds and STI indexed shifters/brake levers for smooth, responsive shifting and dual braking right at your fingertips. The 2002 World/Nationals Champions Monica Bascio and Scott McNeice use the XLT Gold and so should you!
XLT Gold Features:
- 6061 T-6 Oval Tube Aluminum Frame with Travel Ready removable fork/camber tube.
- 4130 Chrome-moly steel fork for strength and stiffness, road crown compensator, seat restraint.
- Adjustable crank assembly, fore/aft seat position, back angle and multi-position footrest system.
- Shimano 27 speed components w/STI indexed shifters/dual brake levers or optional Rapid Fire hands-on shifters plus the Top End S Crankset with integral pedal bearings/ovalized aluminum handpedals.
- 26" High performance, off-road or cruiser wheels/tires, threaded or quick-release axles and reflectors
Specifications
| Frame: |
Single main tube, recumbent style with pivot steering and
raked fork for controlled turning and stability. Road crown
compensator connects frame and fork. This provides stability
when transferring into the handcycle and provides an easy and
simple way to compensate for road crown. Adjustable fore/aft
seat adjustments, back and seat angle, footrest system, crank
heights and transfer seat heights. Travel ready frame styles
is standard. |

and brake calipers, so they can be easily interchanged. High
pressure wheels and tires are not interchangeable with knobby

shifters/brake levers mounted close to the handpedals,

11/32 cassette. Optional Rappid Fire hands-on shifter/Brake
system is available. Standard crankset is the Top End S
crankset with integral pedal bearings offered in widths of
24" or 26" and lengths of 180mm, 200mm or 220mm. See

| Safety System: |
A hands-on caliper brake is mounted on the left hand pedal
which is in addition to the STI brake system. This hands-on
brake is equipped with a locking lever which then works as a
parking brake. Reflectors, chain guard and seat restraint
with hook and loop fastener is standard. Safety options
available include: mirror, safety flag, helmet, safety
lights, leg guard and hydration systems. |
