Product Overview

Mabis DMI Deluxe Inflatable Bed Shampooer

Deluxe Inflatable Bed Shampooer

EZ-Shampoo is so simple, fast and comfortable it's head and shoulders above the rest. The unique EZ-Shampoo inflatable sink fills the need for an easy, refreshing shampoo for patients confined to bed. When inflated by mouth or air pump, the specially designed EZ-Shampoo is a secure, form fitting basin that comfortably cushions the patient's neck and shoulders.

A conventional drain hose efficiently removes soap suds and water from the basin. All that's required for cleanup is to towel dry the rinsed out sink, deflate, and fold up for prompt storage in a space as small as a folded towel. It's that easy!

EZ-Shampoo is made of heavy-duty vinyl and is backed by a one year limited warranty. Lightweight and compact in size, EZ-Shampoo is 24" wide and 20" long. The 8" deep double-tube design prevents splashing and spilling. Portable shower accessories are also available upon request.

Exactly What I Needed

Pros:
Sturdy. Safe. Functional. Lightweight. Easy To Install.
Best Uses:
Disabled. Elderly. Residential.
Describe Yourself:
Practical. Bargain Hunter. Budget Shopper.

I use this for my son, who is wheelchair bound. He has a trach so I can't submerge him in tub to wash hair and his wheelchair doesn't lean back far enough for the sink. We wash it before he gets up in his wheelchair for the day. :-)

No need for dirty hair!!! Verified Purchaser

Pros:
Safe. Sturdy. Easy To Install. Lightweight. Functional.
Best Uses:
Bedridden. Elderly. Residential. Hospital. Children. Disabled.
Describe Yourself:
Budget Shopper.

I was hospitalized for a month & I never had to worry about being frustrated with dirty hair. This was so easy to use. Very easy to drain right from the bed into a garbage can. Wash & conditioning done in a jiffy. No problem with getting water on the bed. A small investment for such a clean feeling while I could not get a shower. A must for anyone bedridden.

awesome bowl

Pros:
Safe. Easy To Install. Functional. Sturdy. Lightweight.
Best Uses:
Disabled.
Describe Yourself:
Budget Shopper.

The only problem that we always have with this shampoo bowl is that it pops a hole in the seam and cannot be patched. We have been using this product since 2009 for my daughter. I would definitely recommend this to anyone that needs to wash a person's hair in the bed.

Not worth the time or difficulties

Pros:
none.
Cons:
difficult to install. difficult to use. time consuming. need an electrical pump .
Best Uses:
need 2 people to use.
Describe Yourself:
Midrange Shopper. Practical.

It should tell you when ordering that you need a professional pump to inflate it otherwise there is no way you will blow it up. The hand pump didn't work at all, maybe if I had a healthy young man around but I didn't. I was so excited to get it and use it for my mom and then was unable to b/c I was unable to inflate it. Very disappointing and saddening.

Answer:
The shampooer does come with a drain hose and it is at least 30 inches long or longer. I have a friend who buys kitty litter in a jug. She gave me one of those jugs and it works perfectly for draining the water from the shampooer.
