Following prostate removal surgery, the ability to achieve and maintain an erection was completely lost. Using the Encore to help restore the blood flow, engorgement, and (using the restrictive rings) maintain an erection sufficient for intercourse was just what the doctor ordered. I use the Encore as prescribed my my urologist, 5 times per week and am completely satisfied with its design, construction, and ease of use. Can't imagine what the extra $300-$500 more for competing products would provide.
