Nite Train'r Dual Volume Control Bedwetting Alarm for Males

The Nite Train'r Dual Volume Control Bedwetting Alarm is a compact, moisture-sensing device worn on the body. The alarm is set off with as little as one or two drops of urine and awakens the wearer before the entire bladder is emptied.

The bedwetting device is made up of a small plastic alarm box that attaches to the shoulder area of the child's pajamas or tee shirt and a non-absorbent sensor pad, designed especially for boys, worn over the genitals and held in place (inside the underwear) with snug fitting briefs.

The plastic unit contains a miniaturized electronics alarm and a 9-volt battery. NiteTrain'r has a built-in dual-volume control switch for the alarm (high/low). The moisture-sensing pad may be uncomfortable to wear. Unit includes instructions, a progress chart and two moisture-sensing pads. Battery included.

We use this alarm for our 10 year old Asperger's child who is a deep sleeper and bedwetter. We have not had any wet beds since we got this alarm! It senses urine very quickly so the bedding/underwear don't get soaked before your kid is awakened by the alarm. Great product [...]

Pros:
High Quality.
Cons:
Expensive.

I highly recommend this product. We bought it for our six year old son who has never had dry nights, even as a preschooler. In the last two years we have tried limitting liquids, waking our son for restroom trips, allowing him to wet and hoping he will wake up on his own, etc. He is a very sound sleeper who does not wake at all when we walk him to the bathroom during the night. But when using the Night Train-r he is able to wake up to the alarm and stays awake while we walk him to the bathroom. He has had three dry nights during the third week of use. Pros: - There are two sensors included. - The sensors have held up well and seem to be durable. - Our son is a very sound sleeper, but after two nights began waking up to the alarm. - The alarm has two volume levels. - The alarm sounds somewhat like a siren instead of like a smoke detector. During the middle of the night the alarm did not frighten our son at all. - The directions were clear. - There were helpful suggestions for night time training included. One suggestion was to leave on a night light. We tried that and our son is able to wake up more easily than when his room was completely dark. Cons: - High price - The sensor is made of a somewhat stiff material coated with a thin layer of what looks like craft foam. Our son says that it is a little uncomfortable to wear. I think that is because it is flat and does not conform well to the body. - The sensor needs to be worn in tight fitting underwear. It did not set off the alarm during wetting when worn inside a pull-up.
