in my opinion the best brand pad

Pros:
very absorbent . washes great in machine. dries in dryer on high.
Cons:
can be warm to lay on.
Best Uses:
for puppy pads. for patients in bed.
Describe Yourself:
pet owner. patient.

I have used multiple brands of pads both for myself and also for my pet that has incontinence. It washes wonderfully, I throw it in my washer then my dryer on high and they come out smelling fresh and clean. I will admit when using them myself they can be a little warm to lay on, but they give me confidence that if my g tube leaks I won't be needing to change my sheets at 3am! I also am a foster mother for our local humane society. I have used these for cat's giving birth, and for my cat who is incontinent. He is diabetic and SOAKS the pad!! Never has it leaked through and it has always contained all of the urine. They also wash clean without leaving behind a lingering urine smell. I have many of the Becks pads as well, they have leaked and have had to be thrown out due to smell. The positive for the Becks is that they are cool for me to use in bed and more comfortable to lay on.

Pros:
Holds a lot of liquid. washes up well often. washes up well often.
Best Uses:
dog incontinence.
Describe Yourself:
Dog owner and RN.

I don't put them in the dryer so that the backing doesn't crack or break apart. I let them air dry so it does take a little longer to dry but it usually is dry in a day or so. I think they are worth it.

Reusable Underpads

Pros:
keeps sheets dry sometime.
Cons:
too heavy and thick. takes a long time to dry. does not stay flat. too narrow. get messed up by sitting. ends up very messy. uncomfortable cover. needs a stay dry topping.
Best Uses:
bed.
Describe Yourself:
RN Wife and caregiver.

Get messed up just by patient sitting down to get into bed. May end up over patient instead of under patient before it is time to get up. Helps keep sheets dry some of the time. Too heavy for private care. Does NOT have a soft and comfortable cover. Takes a long time to dry. A stay dry cover like diapers have would be preferable.
