BD Insyte Autoguard Shielded IV Catheters made of FEP Polymer means added safety for you. They're the safety-engineered version of the popular BD Insyte IV catheter. BD Insyte Autoguard shielded IV catheters do not contain elasticized PVC or natural rubber latex and can be used for Taxol administration. The unique push-button shielding mechanism releases the spring and allows the needle and flash chamber to quickly retract into the safety barrel. The clinician maintains control of the process by deciding when to active the push-button shielding mechanism.


BD Insyte Autoguard Shielded IV Catheters autoguard technology is the only safety-engineered catheter proven to demonstrate effective needlestick reduction. The 20, 22 and 24 gauge catheters feature the added benefit of the BD Instaflash needle technology, providing immediate visual confirmation of vessel entry along the catheter shaft.
