Dry Pro PICC or IV Line Protector
If you have PICC (Peripherally Inserted Central Catheter) or temporary IV line, you know the area around where the PICC or IV is inserted is prone to infection and you have to protect it. You will find using the Dry Pro™ as a PICC line cover when showering or swimming, it will help keep bacteria and other contaminates away from the vein the PICC or IV is inserted in.
The Dry Pro™ PICC Line Protector uses the same patented vacuum seal over your PICC or IV line as is used with the cast protectors. However, it is tan colored and is open on both ends to keep your hands free for use. With the Dry Pro™, you can shower, bathe or swim with a PICC or IV line and have complete waterproof protection.

The product kept the pic line dry..which is its purpose. But my protector only lasted about 3 weeks..had to purchase another one. This one I have now..does not seal at all, must tape both ends to take a shower, and certainly do NOT submerge it!!

Works better if you don't deflate it!

I found that if I deflated the cuff, every time I bent my arm the negative pressure would suck water under/into the cuff.

Not worth the time or money!!
Cons:
Flimsy.
Unable to apply by self!.
Need 2nd person to apply!.
Sizing off, runs smaller.

I used an old soft cloth diaper over the PICC line dressing site and then covered it with a multipurpose sealing wrap. It worked just fine.

 I went to a retailer to see one of these PICC protectors. After trying the Medium size, which I should be in according to the measurements, I asked if they could get in a Large Size. But, they cautioned me saying that I would have to take it without trying it on or anything because then they couldn't return it. Being concerned that the twisting and turning would jeopardize my PICC line, I left without any product.
How can you be expected to by something that may not even fit?
Do you have these same policies?

Hello, after reading all the reviews I am left with one question. Isn't there a warrenty against ripping? From the descriptions it sounds like that is the main complaint. I am very interested but I can not afford to buy something that could rip in just a couple of uses. So warrenty????

MY FIRST ONE LASTED ABOUT ONE MONTH BEFORE IT RIPPED. ALLEGRO REPLACED IT FOR FREE. THE SECOND ONE LASTED MUCH LONGER DUE TO EXPERIENCE WITH THE INITIAL TRIMMING. I WAS ABLE TO USE THIS FOR SHOWERING AND LIGHT SWIMMING (minimal arm movements)
