Product Overview

Dry Pro PICC or IV Line Protector

Dry Pro PICC or IV Line Protector

If you have PICC (Peripherally Inserted Central Catheter) or temporary IV line, you know the area around where the PICC or IV is inserted is prone to infection and you have to protect it. You will find using the Dry Pro™ as a PICC line cover when showering or swimming, it will help keep bacteria and other contaminates away from the vein the PICC or IV is inserted in.

The Dry Pro™ PICC Line Protector uses the same patented vacuum seal over your PICC or IV line as is used with the cast protectors. However, it is tan colored and is open on both ends to keep your hands free for use. With the Dry Pro™, you can shower, bathe or swim with a PICC or IV line and have complete waterproof protection.

Features and Benefits of the Dry Pro PICC protector:

  • The Dry Pro™ is easy to use. Slide the Dry Pro™ up your arm and over the PICC site. Pump the air out by squeezing the built in pump until the bulb is flattened. Remove the bulb and quickly cap the stem. The patient can go swimming, bathe, shower or receive hydrotherapy while wearing the sleeve. You can even dive off a diving board or ride the ocean waves. The protector cannot slip off! In fact it can’t even be pulled off when in the deflated state.
  • The Dry Pro™ is made of thick surgical latex that can stretch up to 600 percent without tearing. This durable product is comfortable and flexible.
  • Dry Pro™, with the patented vacuum seal, offers the safest and most effective product on the market. Other cover products do not offer the same waterproof guarantee as the Dry Pro.
  • The Dry Pro™ is available in a variety of sizes designed to fit most people.
  • The product is economical and priced comparably to other less durable products on the market.
  • Repeated leak-proof testing proves the reliability of the Dry Pro™ as the only truly waterproof protector. When applying the Dry Pro™, the built-in pump flattens to indicate that the seal is intact and will not leak.
  • The Dry Pro™ also offers waterproof products for cast or wound care protection as well as full leg prosthetic wearers.
  • The Dry Pro™ carries a one year guarantee.
  • The Dry Pro™ line is Latex Free.

I found that if I deflated the cuff, every time I bent my arm the negative pressure would suck water under/into the cuff.
