1 inch long needle Verified Reviewer

Pros:
Easy to Use.

PLEASE, note that these are 1 inch long and not 1/2 inch as previously reported. I bought these to access my port and can't use them since they are too long. I also can't return them. This is very disappointing and expensive.

Great for Home Use

Pros:
Easy to Use.
Cons:
Doesn't have needle guard.
Best Uses:
In home personal use.
Describe Yourself:
RN-access own portacath. Medical Professional.

I use Whin huber needles because I access my own portacath and it is easier to see the site without the needle guard that other products have in the way. That said, they probably couldn't be used in a hospital or clinic because they are missing this detail. I'm really careful and live alone so don't have to worry about sticking anyone else. Also, I am very allergic to metal but only get a very slight itching sensation when the needle is in, no rashes or skin breakdown which is good for me!

Answer:
Though in one place it says 1-inch needle, I have bought this several times and they are 1/2 inch needles. Because they are unreturnabe I even called and they clarified they are 1/2 inch. They send me 1/2 inch needles every time. Hope this helps!
