Product Overview

Standers Recliner Risers

Recliner Risers

When a person stands from the typical recliner, it tilts forward, dropping the arms and seat of an already low chair by 3-4 inches. Simply raising the chair by 5 or 6 inches, necessary for independent standing, makes it dangerously unstable.

Recliner Risers has developed a safe and easy solution! When Recliner Risers are installed, it raises a chair 1 3/4 inches and limits the forward tilt allowing an additional 3-4 inches of lift. The 4-6 total inches of extra support gives a weakened person a biomechanical advantage and enables them to stand on their own.

The Recliner Risers attach quickly and easily to the wooden base of your favorite recliner. The patent pending design raises your effective seat height 4-6 inches while only raising your chair 1 3/4 inches.

Pros:
Solid Construction.
Cons:
Limited Functions.
Best Uses:
Home.

Excellent product. Pre-drill screw holes to make attachment easier. Wish height was adjustable, but current height is good for most applications. I did not use the rocker limiters, just the risers, but even the minimum height increase makes standing up from recliner MUCH easier! Well worth the price. If you struggle to get up from your recliner this is a must have!

Just What I Needed Verified Purchaser

Being a tall person, my recliner was too low to get out of easily since I have bad knees. I am amazed at how much easier it is to get out of since installing the Recliner Risers. I would never have thought that something so small and simple to install would have made such a big difference.

A couple inches makes all the difference

Pros:
Easy to install.

As someone with arthritis and a knee about to be replaced, I needed help getting out of the chair. I didn't install the stabilizers [instructions were confusing] but just installed the four risers. The added couple inches in height really help.

Question:
What is the total weight that these risers can handle? If the recliner weighs whatever they weigh and a 400-lb. person sits in it, will the risers still be stable? Thanks

Answer:
The manufacturer's literature just says, "Additional safety measures should be taken for users that are high risk...who have size or weight conditions that may apply extreme stress on the Recliner Risers." There was an 800 number for Standers too, 1-800-506-9901, that should be called with any questions. Hope this helps.
